Sutton Grange resident Zita Trimi's story offers a glimpse into the multifaceted problems homeowners face. Describing her ordeal, Zita said, “The dream home we envisioned was marred by glaring issues. The front door was installed incorrectly, leaving a gap even when shut. An anticipated turfed garden was missing upon move-in. To add to the worries, an improperly earthed electricity socket gave my granddaughter a shock.”
Such experiences aren't isolated. More Shrewsbury residents have shared tales of crumbling walls, uneven floors, faulty plumbing, and inadequate insulation. These repeated blunders paint a disturbing picture of compromised safety and construction shortcuts.
Councillor Alex Wagner voiced his concerns over the growing number of such cases. “It's distressing to see families shoulder the consequences of developers' indifference and substandard workmanship,” he stated.
